Hinterland
United States Southern Border, 2017
I have been documenting the southern border to explore the various border towns and cities, interview border agents, and speak with local residents about the immigration issues they face. I spent time in places like Del Rio, Nogales, Calexico, San Ysidro, Langtry, Tijuana, El Paso and Yuma, documenting the places of immigration and the spaces surrounding (I kept my range of study equal to the US border patrol's jurisdiction in the US and points of entry in Mexico). This is ongoing work and will be updated as future border trips occur.
